Setup Instructions

Remove Closed Suction System from pouch.
Attach Control Valve to vacuum source through suction tube.
Depress Control Valve and set the suction flow at desired level.
Connect the Swivel Adaptor to Endotracheal tube or Tracheostomy tube.
For patients with ventilator circuit, attach ventilator socket to the 15-Male port on the swivel adaptor; ensure Irrigation and Lavage ports are closed.
Attach proper date sticker to Control Valve.
Dispose of the Closed Suction System after 24 hours.

Suction Procedure

Grip Swivel Adaptor with one hand, and insert catheter into tube with thumb and forefinger to desired depth.
Once depth is achieved, depress Control Valve intermittently to apply suction.
If secretion is thick, inject distilled water or 0.9% saline through Lavage port for dilution.
Withdraw catheter slowly with suction activated until Black Marking is fully visible in the sleeve.
Occlude Control Valve to flush catheter via the Irrigation port.
Lift and turn Thumb piece 180° to lock position for safety.

⚠ Safety Cautions

Do not use for more than 24 hours.
Do not resterilize.
Use date sticker to identify the replacement date.
If there is any breakage on the plastic sleeve, replace immediately.
